Recent Books: I love reading fiction and when I get into a good one, stay up late and dive in…
- The MAN WHO ATE everything, Jeffrey Steingarten – funny read, good intro on bread making
- The Elegance of the Hedgehog, Muriel Barbery – Lost in a translation in some places, approx. 1/3 into the book, still not grabbing me, although well written
- LEED Green Associate Study Guide, USGBC-on my list of things to tackle, not quite at the top
- Duma Keys, Steven King – blarg
- Twilight Series, Stephenie Meyer: While not exactly adult literature, I found quite amusing, could not put down obsessive (similar to the way I responded to the Potter series and when I was quite a bit younger, the McCaffrey Talent series). The part of my mind for make believe is enthralled by mind-reading/emotion sensing, supernatural abilities.
- Midwives, Chris Bohjalian *slogged through until climax of story, addresses trial of a vermont midwife &
- Faith in Carlos Gomez, Samantha Dunn, *one of the few books that came close to being unfinished, addresses salsa and sexcapades with no end goal
- Born Standing Up, Steve Martin – only completed 1/3 of the way, as is usual in non fictions
- Putumayo World Music-can’t resist the Brazil and other latin sounds
- Paco De Lucia, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin-asked for more Paco as I can’t resist the latin
- Howlin’ Wolf, mmm delicious blues
- Paul Simon, dancing in the kitchen, feeling happy

- Los Lobos – specifically Saint in the Glass, beautiful
- Stevie Ray Vaughn
- Beatles
- Led Zeppelin, love by association-husband played when we first met

And Music My husband regularly introduces me to new music, some of which I absolutely love, some which I cannot stand for the cacophonic features (i.e. if it makes me grip my chair, I cannot listen)
